Clinical Expertise

Conditions Treated by Mr Sikander

Mr Murtuza Sikander has extensive experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of spinal and neurological conditions. Every case is carefully evaluated to ensure an accurate diagnosis.

Degenerative Spinal Disorders

Including back, neck and arm pain, sciatic pain and slipped discs. Degenerative changes in the spine can cause chronic pain, stiffness and reduced mobility, often managed effectively with both surgical and non-surgical approaches.

Spinal Tumours

These can be daunting conditions but are often successfully treatable. Mr Sikander provides specialist assessment and personalised treatment plans for spinal tumours, both benign and malignant.

Spinal Stenosis

Occurs from narrowing of the spinal canal which causes back or arm pain and difficulty walking. This condition is particularly common in older patients and can be effectively treated with minimally invasive techniques.

Complex Rebision Spinal Surgery

Patients who have had previous spinal operations that require highly specialised treatment such as revision surgeries or multiple operations. Mr Sikander brings extensive experience to these challenging cases.

Syringomyelia

A rare neurological condition where a cyst forms and blocks normal cerebrospinal fluid flow. Over time this can damage nerve fibres and cause chronic pain, stiffness and muscle weakness in the back, shoulders, arms or legs.

Arnold Chiari Malformations

This condition occurs from an abnormal growth pattern of the base of the skull and can cause headaches and problems with limbs. Specialist surgical management is available where appropriate.

Vascular Malformations

These occur from abnormalities in blood vessels in the spine that can cause problems with pain and mobility. Specialist assessment ensures the most appropriate and effective treatment approach.
